During the registration of the Omel athletics club with the Uganda government bodies in 2022-2023. The club is recognised by the following government bodies:
• Omel Sub County area Local Council I, and II officials.
• Omel Sub County Chief official.
• Gulu District Education/Sports Officer.
• Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB).
• Uganda Athletics Federation (UAF), and its Associations of Gulu District Sports.
The club is recognised further by the local communities (particularly by parents of the young athletes in Omel athletics) in Gulu District and northern Uganda, schools, sports officials (particularly the UAF President), governmental officials (particularly the Omel Sub County Councillor V), and Uganda at large. Through participations in the following competitions:
• Athletics talent identification and selection competition in the rural community of Omel Sub County. Competition were performed at Kitinotima government Primary School; under the directive of the Gulu District Education and Sport Officer with the Principal of Primary School, and with the cooperation of the primary school and the Omel athletics.
• UAF Northern Region/Arop Memorial Champs competition at Pece War Memorial Stadium, Gulu City.
• Gulu City Athletics Promotion Championship competition at Pece War Memorial Stadium, Gulu City.
• UAF Northern Region Championship at Pece War Memorial Stadium, Gulu City.
Omel athletics gained International recognition through seeking for developmental assistances. It has collaborative recognition with the following donors:
• London City Athletics Club (LCAC), in London United Kingdom. LCAC donated vests and shorts, 93 in total. During their Club name rebranding to Southwark Athletics Club, in London United Kingdom. With envisaged future developmental assistances to Omel.
• National Football League (NFL) Players USA. The NFL particular players have collaboration with Omel athletics to provide developmental assistances, and they have provided.
