Omel Athletics has a vital initiative. To source, harness, and nurture young people from rural parts of the country of Uganda, into athletics. With key emphasis in the northern region of the country of Gulu District, and the surrounding districts. Owed to discovered lack of emerging athletics talents from the region, lack of athletics sports emphasis, lack of athletics talent spotting drives, and lack of athletics sports facilities. In a region of high young population, who are tall and strong; but unhappily there is high level of idling coupled with alcohol consumption and drugs taking among boys, and early prenancy among girls.
Where Omel Athletics has recognised the immense potential among uneducated young with untapped athletics talents in Gulu district. Our initiative aims to address two pressing issues: the lack of educational opportunities for these young individuals, and the underutilisation of their sports potential. By combining athletics with education, we intend to create a comprehensive support system that enables these young to break the cycle of poverty and unlock their full potential.
Omel Athletics aim is, to provide career aspirations in athletics to the young people. Simultaneously, to provide access to education and skills training through athletics. To the uneducated but talented in athletics, through athletics participation. To empower young people, both boys and girls towards a brighter future through hyperactive, hard work, dedication, self-respect, and self acommplisment.
In this Omel Athletics seek funding, and collaboration with well-wisher, and donor, to support this cause in either short or long term. We are open to welcome supporter, to discuss, and to provide further information.
Long term goal
Omel Athletics long term goal is an Athletics Sports Academy in Gulu. To provide comprehensive educational program, with high level of sports performances of young people; from 4 to 16 years old.
Gulu and the surrounding region lack such an academy; and there is an immense need and growth potential in it.
